APG|SGA launches start-up programme ‘Nurture’
APG|SGA joins ‘Nurture’ programme to support start-ups in Switzerland. JCDecaux, the world no. 1 in outdoor advertising, has already successfully rolled out ‘Nurture’ in a number of countries including the UK, France, Germany, the US and Australia. APG|SGA is now joining this network as a partner. The programme helps selected start-ups to increase awareness of their young brands and benefit from various other services under the ‘Nurture’ banner.
Even by global standards, the start-up scene in Switzerland is viewed as particularly active and progressive. In 2020, for instance, the number of financing rounds by Swiss start-ups grew by 14%. Despite the pandemic, Swiss start-ups attracted an impressive CHF 2.1 billion in 2020 – just shy of the record of CHF 2.4 billion set in 2019. The Swiss commercial register recorded around 50,000 new entries in 2020, an increase of 5% on the previous year (source: Avenir Suisse, 28/07/2021).
From 1 September 2021, APG|SGA will be part of the established, prestigious ‘Nurture’ programme. This will give young companies access to mentoring in the areas of marketing and out of home advertising, along with data insights and exclusive, tailor-made APG|SGA offers. The aim is to give start-ups visibility in public spaces with advice and a comprehensive out of home product range to help them develop into fully fledged market participants.
Marc Eberhart is responsible for ‘Nurture’ within APG|SGA and is also looking after international coordination, alongside his function as a Key Account Manager. Marc Eberhart joined APG|SGA on 1 May 2021, bringing extensive specialist knowledge gained in over 10 years with various media agencies: ‘I am very pleased to bring Nurture to the Swiss market and to guide innovative start-ups to success with comprehensive advice and successful, individually tailored out of home media solutions.’ He is supported by a dedicated core team with a range of specialist skills that will develop individual solutions for start-ups.
Information
In the start-up scene, an informal approach is part of good manners. This is also reflected on the Nurture website.
