APG|SGA Traffic to market advertising spaces on SBB trains from 1 January 2019

In a public SBB tender in 2017 APG|SGA was awarded the contract for all lots covering all analogue and digital third-party advertising at all Swiss train stations. A new feature of the contract is that it also includes exclusive marketing of interior and exterior advertising on trains.

From 1 January 2019 more than 15,800 interior spaces (RailPosters and RailMidiPosters) on SBB trains throughout Switzerland will be marketed by APG|SGA Traffic, in addition to over 70 locomotives and trains as outdoor advertising spaces. Up to now, the interior and exterior spaces have been sold by SBB’s Passenger Division directly. APG|SGA Traffic will take over the current SBB employees and will benefit from their expert knowledge and customer relationships from the outset. The proven advertising range and associated services will be continued and systematically developed.

APG|SGA Traffic already markets over 200 000 advertising spaces of more than 125 transport operators throughout Switzerland. The interior and exterior advertising spaces on SBB trains perfectly complement the existing portfolio. The new synergies in public transport will generate a large number of contact opportunities with attractive target groups, as well as efficiently increasing reach in a very short space of time. This addition means that advertising customers will gain an even broader range of Out of Home advertising in Switzerland covering all touchpoints along the entire Out of Home customer journey.
