APG|SGA presents its new products for 2019: expanded digital range, and direct stimuli for online activities via mobile phones

September 5, 2018

All of APG|SGA’s products can be booked for the first half of 2019 from 8 October 2018. Various innovations and new features create even more efficiency and scope for creativity. Digital networks in urban areas and in transport vehicles are undergoing major expansion. Out of Home advertising can deliver direct stimuli for online activities or extend classic campaigns via smartphone. Effective new advertising media make messages more visible and relevant – and increase the prospects of contact. An overview of all analogue, digital and interactive formats, together with various special advertising formats, can be found online or printed in the pocket planner.

With its extensive Out of Home advertising solutions, APG|SGA creates broad awareness of advertisers among the entire population – nationwide, in individual regions or within a limited local area. Preselected packages for poster campaigns achieve success especially efficiently in the target areas. Digital advertising media are growing in number, and they are constantly being expanded to form high-impact networks. With over 480 locations, for example, the "AllStar ePanel CH" achieves digital network performance of 23.2 million passers-by per week. The initial roll-out of the City ePanel will take place in Lugano in 2019, digitalizing both the city centre and the lakeside promenade with its twelve large screens. Also in Ticino, six Shopping ePanels will premiere in the Serfontana shopping centre at the end of 2018. And in the city of Chur, four new Rail ePanels will be installed in the station shopping mall at the beginning of 2019, followed in spring 2019 by seven more City ePanels at central locations.

Spotlight still on stations
Rising population levels and increasing mobility are making railway stations more and more important as spaces for communication. The successful collaboration between APG|SGA and SBB continues. APG|SGA has more strongly accentuated its digital placement in the Bern station shopping mall: the AdWalk, which is unique in Switzerland, consists of 14 Rail ePanels in each direction, increasing its impact amid the torrent of commuters. After the complete renovation of St. Gallen station, the existing tried-and-tested facilities were extended with four Rail ePanels just by the main entrance. The City & Rail ePanel CH achieves a wider impact. The digital network focuses on shopping streets and stations, combining all City, Rail and Escalator ePanels in eight cities and 16 stations.

New bus and tram screen
Bernmobil transports over 100 million passengers every year. 70% of its vehicle fleet is already fitted out with TrafficMediaScreens, and more are continually being installed in its trams and buses. Analogue interior formats (except for window transparencies) of the transport partners of APG|SGA Traffic can now be found online in the planning and booking platform’s webshop: posterdirect.ch offers a wide range of formats to suit every budget.

Precise geolocalized control with location-based targeting
The combination of reach, visibility and geolocalized control is widely seen as a strength of Out of Home media. Mobile media create additional options for reaching target groups with relevant messages via smartphone. "aymo" from APG|SGA Interaction is Switzerland’s most precise mobile targeting system, which can be utilized for mobiles only or in combination with classic Out of Home advertising campaigns. Every month its mobile ads are displayed on the smartphones of 3.6 million active users of the most popular Swiss apps. With accurate location data, target groups in defined polygons can be addressed. Four suitable products are available: LiveTarget, ReTarget, GeoTarget and BillboardTarget. The partner network is being continually expanded.

Proven and special
Posters are popular. They are memorable and make us curious. They quickly achieve classic communication goals such as image, sales figures and awareness. Over and above that, special advertising formats and promotions offer emotional encounters with products and brands. The platform banners in Geneva Cornavin station literally caused a big stir because they are positioned above the platforms, hanging there as enormous flags for all to see. The Glass Cube – the latest generation of promotional furniture – can be designed with full individual branding. It creates a calm, engaging atmosphere in heavily frequented promotional areas like station concourses. Advertising messages on ski-lift masts and the railway infrastructure secure the undivided attention of visitors to the mountains. Owing to heavy demand the number of pylon posters is being continually expanded: 14 destinations are available in German- and French-speaking Switzerland in the 2018/19 season.
