APG|SGA sells its property in the city of Basel – the sale will generate net positive income of approx. CHF 18 million
APG|SGA is systematically implementing the real estate strategy it has defined. Owing to urban growth, the area around the company's commercial premises at Hardstrasse 43 in Basel has become an increasingly sought-after site for housing and is thus no longer an optimum location for business operations. As a result, APG|SGA decided at the beginning of this year to launch a bidding process for this property, which has now aroused a great deal of interest among potential buyers.
The disposal process has resulted in the signing of a sale contract for the property, which is due to change hands on 30 June 2016. The sale will generate net positive income of approx. CHF 18 million for APG|SGA SA. This sum comprises the selling price after deducting book value, taxes and transaction costs.
For the time being, all units of APG|SGA Basel will remain at Hardstrasse as tenants.
