Gilles Samyn, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of APG|SGA AG, has announced that he will not be standing for re-election at the upcoming Annual General Meeting in May 2015. Now that APG/SGA has successfully been turned around and is back on a very solid business footing, Gilles Samyn believes the time has come to lay down his mandate.

Laurence Debroux, Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of APGISGA’s Control Committee, is also relinquishing her roles as at 31 December 2014. Laurence Debroux’s departure has been prompted by her appointment as Chief Financial Officer of Heineken N. V. and her consequent resignation from JCDecaux SA, APGISGA’s largest shareholder.

Robert Schmidli will take on the additional Board role of Chairman of the Control Committee from 1 January 2015 until the 2015 Annual General Meeting. Markus Scheidegger will become a new member of this committee for the same period. This will mean that two experienced and independent Members of the Board of Directors are still present to ensure the committee fulfils its monitoring duties properly.

The Board of Directors and Management would like to thank the two departing Members of the Board for their great commitment and expertise in the service of APG|SGA and wish them all the best for their private and professional futures.

The Board of Directors has immediately initiated the evaluation of candidates and will propose new Board Members to shareholders at the 2015 Annual General Meeting.
