Unmissable advertising media in Swiss stations

Comparable in size with an F200 and often benefitting from optimal eye-level placement, the ePanel is about to become an unmissable sight in major SBB stations. For some time now, these important rail hubs have been much more than mere departure and arrival points for journeys by train. Nowadays, they function as meeting places, shopping centres, and much more.

The launch of ePanels is being undertaken in partnership with Impacta AG, an Affichage Holding SA subsidiary company, and SBB, Swiss Federal Railways. "We find the concept and the realization of life-size, portrait-format digital screens showing crystal-clear animated advertising quite fascinating," says Peter Kummer, Head of External Advertising for SBB Real Estate. Paid advertising is an important source of income for SBB. "This is why we pay a great deal of attention to our advertising sites and media," says Peter Kummer. "Innovation and new products are a normal part of market development; they offer an opportunity to differentiate yourself from the competition."

SBB was aware of the importance of working with a professional partner with proven technical expertise when launching a complex product such as the ePanel. In close collaboration with e-advertising and Impacta AG, and after some pioneering development work, the ePanel is ready for launch. Peter Kummer believes that "the ePanel will set new standards in digital outdoor advertising."

The ePanel can be booked by the day – a first for out-of-home advertising. Not surprisingly, the response from customers has been very favourable. In combination with the large-format eBoards – there is an option to synchronize commercials with an eBoard display – ePanels guarantee advertisers a standout presence at all major stations.
