APG – lenticular poster campaign for Eichhof

June 14, 2010

APG has placed lenticular posters in F200 format for Eichhof's Bügelbräu beer at a total of three sites at the Lucerne railway station. The attraction: as the viewer walks past, the image changes. The advertising campaign will start drawing astonished glances from 14 June 2010.

The slogan of the campaign, which will only be published in German-speaking Switzerland, is "Wir Innerschweizer bügeln gern." This message, which means "We in Central Switzerland don't like to sit around doing nothing" (in other words, "We prefer bottles with mechanical tops"), is in fact a play on words based on "bügeln" ("to work" in a figurative sense) and "Bügelverschluss", which describes the popular and stylish traditional swing tops on these elegant beer bottles.

The message will appear from 14 June 2010 on special F200 format posters for Eichhof Bügelbräu beer. So is there anything special about the posters? Yes – as people walk past the three sites in Lucerne railway station, the image on the lenticular posters will change as if by magic.

Commenting on the new lenticular poster campaign, Jean-Pierre Roeder, key account consultant for APG, says: "Each poster contains two separate images. It is amazing how versatile this medium is and how effectively it attracts the attention of passers-by. They can achieve a substantial increase in sales for the advertiser."

Responsible for the campaign:
APG: Robert Vego, Jean-Pierre Roeder, Thomas Macho
Eichhof: Patrik Widmann, Stani Imboden
MediaPlus: Urs Rueb, Sebastijan Horvat
Lesch & Frei advertising agency: Thomas Lüber
