APG|SGA secures contract with Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), continuing their partnership

September 25, 2024

The Zurich Transport Network (ZVV) is the largest transport association in Switzerland. It unites 35 transport companies under one roof and carried more than 655 million passengers in 2023. Stadtbus Winterthur is the ZVV competence centre for transport advertising in the area, except for Zurich Public Transport (VBZ) and Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). It issued a call for tenders in April 2024, and APG|SGA has now been awarded the contract for a minimum period of five years, thus continuing the successful collaboration between ZVV and the number one in out of home and transport advertising.

The contracts with the marketers hired by the competence centre will expire at the end of 2024. The marketing contract for advertising space in and on vehicles was therefore put out to tender in April 2024. It covers the following transport companies: VBG Verkehrsbetriebe Glattal AG, VZO Verkehrsbetriebe Zürichsee und Oberland AG, SZU Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn AG, ZSG Zürichsee-Schiffahrtsgesellschaft AG, SBW Stadtbus Winterthur and Postauto AG in the Zurich market area. In total, it involves more than 500 vehicles, primarily standard and articulated buses.

APG|SGA will continue to offer its customers the popular rear panels and RoofStrip formats on practically all 500 vehicles. In addition, full wraps and TrafficBoards can be booked on selected vehicles. Inside the vehicles, more than 6,000 spaces are available for the popular HangingDisplays and WindowsDecals.

Matthias Gerth, Head of Marketing and Communications at Stadtbus Winterthur, says: “APG|SGA was awarded the contract on the basis of its impressive bid in the public tender. We look forward to working with the company from 2025 onwards.”

Roger Keller, Head of Sales Consulting North/East/ZH at APG|SGA Transport Advertising, is delighted with the contract: “Public transport vehicles will continue to be an important part of national campaigns in the future, and we have a transport advertising presence in practically all Swiss cities. We can also offer our local and regional customers tailor-made solutions at a good price.”
