APG|SGA receives EcoEntreprise certification for sustainable development and social responsibility

July 9, 2024

APG|SGA’s achievement of EcoEntreprise certification is clear and credible confirmation of Switzerland’s leading Out of Home Media company’s ambitious commitment to sustainability. The EcoEntreprise programme is based on the global standard ISO 26000 and is awarded after a comprehensive audit by an independent, accredited testing body.

Balanced consideration of social, environmental and economic factors in decision-making processes has been a cornerstone of the APG|SGA corporate mission statement for decades. The “EcoEntreprise Sustainable Development – Corporate Social Responsibility” certificate demonstrates to the public – and, in particular, to stakeholders in partner and advertising markets – that APG|SGA practices comprehensive sustainability and risk management. The national EcoEntreprise label has been Switzerland’s benchmark certification in the area of sustainable development and social responsibility since 2013. The program is based on a comprehensive assessment checklist and an independent audit, following which certification is granted. Various criteria, such as environmental awareness, social solidarity, social relations and economic performance, are taken into account.

Markus Ehrle, CEO of APG|SGA, says: “We’re proud to have achieved the EcoEntreprise certification at the first attempt and with an excellent result. This confirms that APG|SGA has been pursuing results-oriented sustainability management for many years and is strongly committed to continuous improvement.”

Andres Trautmann, Head of Sustainability at APG|SGA, explains: “The certification is very important to APG|SGA. As part of the process, an interdisciplinary working group meticulously examined our entire sustainability strategy and how it is implemented on a day-to-day basis throughout the company. This confirmed that we are at a very high level. At the same time, we were able to identify a number of potential improvements, which, in some cases, are already under way."
