Samsung and APG|SGA test 85-inch outdoor displays and evaluate the latest City ePanels of the future
Samsung, one of the leading display production manufacturers, and APG|SGA, Switzerland’s premier Out of Home advertising company, are testing Samsung’s «OH85F» 85-inch outdoor display for the first time, exclusively in the city of Zurich.
On 1 February 2017, the City of Basel published its decision on the "tender for posters on public land in the Canton of Basel-Stadt". APG|SGA has been awarded the contract for all the existing spaces with formats F200, F12 and F4, as well as for over 250 F200 backlit posters at absolute prime locations. This is practically all the F200L sites in the City of Basel. APG|SGA has also secured the rights for poster advertising on construction site hoardings and the option of exclusively implementing nine illuminated revolving columns at top locations. In addition, the market leader has also been awarded the most promising lot – lot 6 – with a total of 22 new digital City ePanels at premium sites. This not only ensures that APG|SGA remains the market leader in analogue advertising, but expands its leading position in the digital segment too. The new contract runs from 1 January 2018 for a period of 10 years.
APG|SGA intensifies activities in the area of mobile media and launches new segment brand APG|SGA Interaction
APG|SGA, Switzerland’s leading Out of Home advertising company, is pursuing new digital avenues and expanding its activities in the areas of mobile media, interactive and data collecting. This is based on its belief that mobile media will become an increasingly integrated part of the Out of Home Media market. The growth of mobile Internet usage in the context of digital and analogue Out of Home advertising enables effective targeting of groups, as well as new interactive forms of advertising along the customer journey. By establishing the new segment brand APG|SGA Interaction on 1 February 2017, the market leader aims to provide advertising clients and partners with high-quality services for planning and handling mobile advertising campaigns, and to develop new products. In the process APG|SGA has taken over a start-up company specializing in beacon technology, together with its employees, and will roll out a beacon network in the near future. Raphael Bratschi, a proven industry expert who joined APG|SGA on 1 September 2016, will be the new Head of APG|SGA Interaction.

Den Gewinnern wird die begehrte Trophäe in Gold, Silber oder Bronze verliehen. Die «APG|SGA Poster Night», einer der wichtigsten Events der Schweizer Werbebranche, findet am 9. März 2017 in der neuen Samsung Hall statt. Die besten Plakatkreationen werden vor Gästen aus Werbung, Medien und Wirtschaft ausgezeichnet.
